So I guess I'm coming back to deviantART! For the last year and a half now I've been using an app called Sony Sketch for its art community... but as of September 30th all of their servers and online functionality will be disabled. It's a really ugly scene; supposedly the whole Sketch team was laid off from Sony and everything. It's not coming back anytime soon, if ever.

I really don't want to go back to being reclusive and shy about my art, so I'm going to touch up this old account of mine and start posting here again! I'm not sure if I'll import my entire gallery from Sketch or just some highlights; one way or the other, though, it's gonna be a lot of work. I'll be posting a lot of adoptables as well, since I want to make enough points between now and September to afford a CORE Membership and change my username.

Solara, Lunasia, and pretty much all of the characters I used to share on here have been scrapped. I'm Volrin now.

In a few days, I'm gonna be hosting a fun challenge for Pokémon X and Y/Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The information can be found on my Tumblr (friendly-meme.tumblr.com/post/…), but I'll copy and paste the info here as well. Any future updates on the challenge will be posted there, since I'm pretty inactive on here.

On Friday, August 12, starting at 8:00 PM (Central Daylight Time), I’ll be wonder trading two of my baby Cubone from my Pokémon Omega Ruby to random trainers. I challenge you guys to track them down and reunite the siblings! I’m curious to see how much they may have changed since the initial trade, or if they’ll even show up at all.

I’ll be trading two female Cubone, untouched at level 1, named Sammy and Lily. Sammy has an Adamant nature, Flamethrower as a special move, Lightning Rod as her ability, and a Master Ball for her held item. Lily has a Sassy nature, Ice Beam as a special move, Rock Head as her ability, and a Rare Candy for her held item. They’re both owned by the trainer Jade, and have a Trainer ID of 00722. If you receive either of these Pokémon, please don’t release them!

Hey guys, sorry it's been so long. I've been kind of unmotivated to upload anything to this site, but I've still been checking for feedback, favoriting some pictures, etc. One thing I've noticed is I've been getting an insane amount of pageviews lately; where are you guys all coming from? Did my art get featured somewhere, or was I just put on a bad art blog again? Not that I'd mind, of course; I was inspired to improve a lot last time it happened. I'd honestly like to know what brought you here.

Also, I decided not to charge people for making Ridgejaws anymore. The commission info has been taken off my page, and I've removed all mention of it from my Ridgejaw pictures. If you wanna make one, go ahead! I'd just like to see people making them. All I ask is, maybe, link me to a picture of it when you first draw it.

Also, I finally got myself a better art program! It's called SketchBook Express (the app is just SketchBookX). I've been having a lot of fun with it, and I've been improving on shading and smooth lines a lot. I'm not sure when, but sometime I'd like to upload something I made with it.

All in all, I can't promise when I'll be actively uploading again, but I can assure you I didn't die. So there you go.
